Finally.....it will become a little easier to do transition from PC to Amiga platform. Does the browser support all ASPX pages and pages that use telerik controllers, HTML 5 and so on? What is left from moving 100% completely from PC to Amiga platform forever is game making programs like Unity, RPG Maker, Engine001, Game Maker, etc and programming language such as .NET for Amiga.

It works with all web pages that work on Safari more or less.

You will love it, it's an amazing piece of work and you can tell it's a real labour of love for Fab.

He really deserves at least as much money as the Freiden brothers got for their half arsed port of Firefox.

Fab is a really nice guy too and has great communication with his users too.  A rare thing in this community.

Have Hyperion ever donated money to any of these bounties? Opensource or otherwise.

It seems to me they (and certain contractors of theirs) only take from the community.

As someone with skill will actually need to port it, I'd rather see them do that then donate.

If the money in the pot falls short there won't be any source to port.

You can't just lay the blame at OS4 users feet, once the source is opened up this browser can be ported to 68k Amiga OS and AROS as well as OS4 so if anything of shows the lack of interest from all sections of the Amiga community.  But people are skint these days and it's close to Christmas so people's money is being spent on presents for others not on bounties for our own benefit.

Stop advocating - true Amigans can use Firefox, so what would they want with a browser based on an abandoned branch (Webkit) for an OS based on stolen code?

Hyperion doesn't even pay the OS4 developers so there is sod all chance they will give money to a MorphOS developer.

With the breaking news that MUI 4 is now available for AmigaOS a modern realization is one step closer to being possible which can only be seen as a good thing for all users.

There's nothing quite like getting your freak on with Amigas.

Odyssey would run on an 060 with 256MB RAM, it would just be a tad slow. Disable JavaScript and use the WarpDT datatypes for image decoding and it could be usable.

we are supporting or donating to a browser that allows us to watch videos, such as youtube, etc on the browser itself like we do with Windows and Linux and so on.....we are supporting a browser that allows us to play flash/html5/and java script games and apps.

Forget Flash, we will never have full support of Flash.

Having achieved all that...what are the chance rate that speed is a factor when it comes to legacy hardware? You know as well, when you say tad slow...that is very much deceiving...we can say that if we DID (which is insane) but import it to 68k...it is good enough to browse only HTML5/CSS page...but flash, javascript and watching videos on a classical Amiga is not feasible even if we manage to grind the 060 to run at 200 Mhz (which is impossible to do).

So...I believe...the best we can do..is run it on AmigaOS 4.1 on a powerful PPC...that is where the benefit of donation goes..not on a 060 hardware running at 50 Mhz or 100 mhz CPU....

No, that would be Odyssey running on MorphOS with a 3GHz G5 or on AROS with a 4GHz i7.

Once the code is fully open anyone can choose to port it to whatever Amiga flavour they like, real hardware or emulation, it doesn't matter.

And one of Bill Buck's pet projects is helping to collect the funds?
AND tmhgm (notoriously blue fellow that he is) has been promoting the development (while lots of MorphOS user have contributed).

Probably not, but it would be nice and it would be a sign of good faith from the OS4 community.

I hope that the OS developer team will focus harder on the core issues with OS4, accelerating that aspect. With Fabs funding is place, I think Ssolie shouldnt feel pushed to
focus on Timberwolf. Kas1e and Fab seems to have that covered for the time being.

SSolie should release the source to TW then anyone who wants to work on it can.
