A few pc-task questions

Ive made some progress. I installed pctcdrom.sys and have it mounting when dos starts up, but trying to use the cd-drive just gives me the message, "cdrom not high sierra or iso-9660 format".
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd go the FreeDOS route if I were you mate.

The problem with that though is that I cant install freedos without a cdrom being mounted.

To make things a little trickier again I have no floppy drive.

Use these floppy images to install an older version of FreeDOS, then once it' installed you can mount the ISO image of the latest verion and install it from that.
