Oh, another fun fact I thought I should tack onto this:

The Computers that were used when the (temporary) Social Security system was first erected, were built by and based upon the same exact models IBM sold to the Nazi's to keep track of people (both Jew and non-Jew alike) to see who was fit for death, and who was fit for labour.

Deutsche Hollerith machines.

I bought the hardback of this when it first came out, very interesting and enlightening.  A must read!
