Restarted and got the all too familiar error with suspend/reboot just like on my A1200 ;-) The Nvidia driver appeared to be the issue

Unlikely if you have an ATI card installed.

even though under networking it said everything was okay I couldn't get online. So possibly it doesn't like the onboard NIC.

I don't know where AROS gives any kind of "everything is okay" message regarding networking. Are you sure you selected the right driver?

Just need someone to point me in the right direction for a decent ATI driver.

The ATI drivers are a bit lacking. You might have better luck using the onboard nVidia. Otherwise, VESA may be slow for some things, but stable.
