Are you sure this is outside the DHCP range as mentioned in previous posts.

Make sure this is the local address rather than the public address, ie. it should start with 192.168.1.

I think that's a bug in the GUI. You have to press return after entering the address. In other words, I don't think it's a colour problem, I think your DNS didn't get set.
