Just popping by meself, and I'm even more extremely happy and exuberant  to see what a difference TWO weeks makes around here. Everyone's gotten back to Amiga and related topics (cept that guy Wayne of course) in the main forums (and humour is back), and the reported posts (to me) have shot through the roof again with welcome back messages... :)

This is bloody brilliant, I aint just sayin I'm telling ya... :D

@ Tension

Ahh... glad you asked about that... :)

Now the wee Irishman who phoned me up about them also sent me a couple of nice wee letters saying they were looking into it and would put things straight as it wasn't good business sense to have customers that weren't happy with their product... :)

He also sent me two £5 off voucher for any Green Isle/ McDougalls/ Gingsters products but as the rest of their stuff is actually worse that the mice & onion pies I never got to use them and no-one else wanted them either cos it seems nobody else will touch their stuff with a barge pole... :(

I thought that was kinda strange as I thought their mince and onion pies (the original ones) were pure dead brilliant but nobody else seemed to like them at all... :)

Anywhoo, thing is you can't even buy the "new improved" versions anymore let alone the old ones with the nice brown gravy as they have completely withdrawn them for sale... :(

I keep meaning to give the wee fella a call to find out what's happened as I've now tried every other brand of mince & onion pie on the market but they're all even more minging than the  "new improved" McDougalls mince & onion pies... :( (cept M&S ones their quite nice... :) but ruddy expensive... :( )

So if you know of any good mince & onion pies (and they don't look like the inside of a Scotch Pie... boak) then let me know, or even if you know any good shoplifters who can grab me some M&S mince & onion pies that would be handy too... :)

Yeah I read that, the wee Irishman who called pointed that site out to me... :(

I sent a number of emails to Birds Eye (the fascist bastards) written in me most polite & best Scottish but I never heard a dicky bird from them, then I finally got a phone number for the Birds Eye customer care centre, so I gave them a wee call but all I got was some stuff toffee nosed English burd who kept on saying "sorry but I cannot understand a word you are speaking here"... :furious:

That reminds me forgot to add Bird's eye to me hit list, anyway I got me own back on Birds Eye on McDougalls behalf I stand around in Asda's at the cold meat and frozen pies section and when I see someone about to pick up any Birds Eye stuff I rush over and tell em "McDougalls are Better than Birds Eye and their stuff is not quite as minging as Birds Eyes ginking stuff"... :)

@ J-Golden

Nah... it's all true it started way back last year when I posted one of me blogs here "McDougalls Mince & Onion Pies..." about how they had changed the recipe for their delicious mice & onion pies to a new improved recipe that basically tasted like a bucket full of sick & dead badgers with only one eye... :(

The managing director of the firm called me at home to try and sort it out (can't recall his name, or to be more honest I couldn't make it out as he spoke with such a thick southern Irish accent even I couldn't understand half the things he said, mind you I don't think he understood me much either)... :)

Anywhoo, seems they have withdrawn them altogether now and with bloody Birds Eye being a bunch of greetin faced twats (hmm... wonder if their Amiga users) it now seem poor McDougalls are being dragged through the courts...
:madashell:

Still me and the SNP (Squirrel Ninja Party) have found out where Birds Eye live (well their corporate HQ anyway) and right now were drawing up battle plans to launch an all out attack on Captain Birds Eye and all his cheap nasty products (cept Birds Eye Chicken Burgers, cos their quite nice & tasty)... :)

It may have to wait a few days cos Albert (he's the wee fat one) has got a wee bit of a cold and him mum says he can't go Ninjaing about till he gets better... :(

So it looks like it'll have to wait till Tuesday before we can launch our cunningly crafty and dead sneaky attack on Birds Eye, but we have a spy in their camp keeping an eye on their HQ from the tree across the road, he's a big black Crow called GrandAlf (he's from Yorkshire) who's keeping a beady eye on the place and letting us know when the security guard takes his nap so we can sneak in undetected... :)

If you don't hear from me after Tuesday (round about teatime) me and the squiggles might have been caught and we'll need someone to launch a rescue party... :)
