Does this mean you have got past the purple insert disk bootup screen now and your Amiga is now freezing a bit further on (in relation to your other thread on the subject) !!!

Did you try the advice given in the other thread to help you try and solve this problem... :)

hi m8

yes its lasting a bit longer an i think it may be my psu

Aha... now were getting somewhere... :)

Well as you have done all that was suggested and even tried another Motherboard then I'd start with the PSU (if you were using the same one during the test with the other MB)... :)

It sounds like you don't have a spare Amiga PSU handy, but can you easily get hold of a spare PC PSU and try wiring that up to see what results you get, as from what you say then I would suspect the PSU is on the way out... :)

how do u wire a pc psu up what wires go to where because its a different conection

Now that could be a problem if you're not sure about such things... :(

Unfortunately there's no real easy way to explain it here on a forum without drawing up various wiring diagrams for you... :(

(Plus I don't A4000 anymore or the schematics to be able to draw you up one myself)... :(

Do you know anyone local to you that might be able to do it for you or help you out... or hopefully someone else here could draw you up a wiring diagram...:)
