Or there are really only two people in the world who care. It would've been much more entertaining if Piru had exclaimed that Kirk was better then Picard - at least people care about Star Trek..

Very true... I mean who gives a crap about what either of em has to say on such a silly subject... :)

It's just seems to be a tradition in Amigaland to have threads to stir things up a wee bit during times of great boredom, I mean since "they who shall not be mentioned" have been vanquished from the site we needed something else to argue about so I reckon Kirk V Picard is just about right... :)

Kirk is best, cos he sometimes wore yellow and he sometimes wore red and they had tribbles back in Kirks days... :D

PS:My dog just died... yet again... :(
PPS:Kirk could sing... :D

Like to see Picard top that... ;)

PPPS:Oh... me dogs just resurrected himself again... :D

@ Kesa

Hey Fat Boy Kirk at least knew a good computer when he saw one... ;)
(They ran the Enterprise on 2 VIC 20's you know, one to take care of life support and other piddly stuff like that and the other to play Radar Rat Race when they weren't fighting the Klingons or stunt men dressed in gorilla suits... :))

and of course they made a number one hit about the original crew... :D

Picard & Co never had a VIC20 or a song made about them... so there... :p

But actually with ZERO respect as you deserve none..    Just STFU...

The day I need respect from a sad git like yourself will be the day you actually say something remotely of interest... :D

So in the meantime why don't you STFU and GBYH as well you numptie... :D

and that is said with a total lack of respect and all due disdain that I have for sad git's like yourself... TTFN...

PS: BBFN & MDBTYD... oh and ABCD while I'm at it...:D

Whoo Hooo.... :D

Cheers Karlos an off topic thread... just what I've always wanted... :)

Now the only problem is, what does one post here to remain off topic when the topic that was off is now lost elsewhere !!!

Guess we'll just have to make up our own topics then folk can start posting off topic comments thats not about the topic in the first place... :)

Ok... here's a topic... :)

OFF TOPIC POSTS !!! Should there be any off topic posts in this thread that have nothing to do with the topic in question or should off topic posts be allowed anywhere on the site just to remind certain folks that some things in life shouldn't be taken too seriously, especially on a computer forum... :)

Think that just about covers it... :)

So I'll just say to be off topic... did Piru & Dave kiss and make up or is Piru still in a cream puff with Davey Wavey about  his naughty little remarks... ;)

Cherry trifles with broken glass and a big bag of peanuts, that what my granny never used to say all the time, even when he was just a baby plum living in a ferrets tobacco pouch 3 miles northeast to the south of the Watford Gap somewhere near India on the invisible planet of LeftOverMildew... :)

Oh yeah and Arse as well... :D

Patrick Stewart on Extras
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fg_cwI1Xj4M

Wow... after watching that with automatically generated Closed Captions (CC) or subtitles my ruddy jaws sore with laughing... :D

Dunno if you need a YouTube account to get it to display "computer generated automatic closed captions" by if you don't or you can set it to CC then give it a go it's hilarious what it comes up with... :D

for example:

Patrick Stewart Says: but I can still sneak a look in the mirror
Closed Captions Say: but could still see can american

Patrick Stewart Says: you've seen star trek the next generation
Closed Captions Say: using suffolk machinations

The rest is just downright funny and sometimes totally bizzare, much better than anything Ricky Gervais could write... give it a go... :)

Just to remain totally off  topic here...

Did you know that if you take an onion with you to the top of Mount Everest then it will have shrunk by almost one third of it's size by the time your reach the summit... :)

However when you come back down again it will have actually reverted back to it's original size once again & have expanded to almost an extra 1 fith of it's original size when you reach the bottom again... :)

That is provided of course you haven't eaten it on your journey up or down the hillside... :)

An old man with two beards once told me that on the top deck of a bus many many moons ago... :)

@ LordSpunky

Nah... it was all about onions but those words have stayed with me to this very day... (though I still haven't found out the true meaning of em) :)

@ Gertsy

Ooh... they do delivery... wonder how long it takes... :)

PS:I'll never forget the parting words that old two bearded man left me with, with a wry little grin on his face he uttered these immortal words "Fares Please"... :afro:
