Been keeping a beady eye on this thread and reckon it's time for a few words of wisdom. I reckon as one who as visited Amiga.org on a couple of occasions and having been to AmiBay once, I can offer a fair and totally unbiased perspective on this little matter...
Here's my two bobs worth anyway...
Amiga.org: A place where you are free to wander the hallowed halls of accademia & great learning at will, where you can sit in on any class you choose and say your bit no matter how unrelated it is to the subject in hand, without fear of being escorted off the premisses.
A place where the moderators/carers gently point you in the right direction when you have a sudden bought of uncontrollable Tourettes Syndrome they sit you down in a nice quite room with some soothing words of wisdom until it passes, then set you merrily on your way again with a nice lollipop to roam freely once again at will.
Amibay: A dank and dark institution where the moderators/wardens if they find you even setting foot outside your cell or if they even think your thinking of wandering off freely down it's creepy & dangerous corridors, will soon have you locked up in solitary confinement never to be seen or heard from again. 
A place where in order to sell your warez you have to have your background thoroughly checked by the KJB and FBI and spend at least six months in Guantanamo Bay before you can even become a member. Once a member though anything you do manage to sell can have you banned or become one of the vanished if it's found out later on that you once stepped on a crack in the pavement or if it's found out your pet dog once had a bout of worms.
There we have it a totally fair and unbiased view from an innocent bystander who has no real opinion on this matter anyway and would never even think for one minute to get involved in such a thing...
