Opinions & Advice On The Mediator PCI Please...

After putting off the idea of buying a new PC or Mac and instead waiting for the X1000 or the Natami, I'm now wondering in the meantime if I should purchase a Mediator PCI set up.

I've been obsessed for so long with trying to get hold of a BVision RTG board for my Blizzard060/PPC that I'd totally forgot about the Mediator option. Therefore I was wondering does anyone use the Mediator and a Blizzard PPC card on an A1200 motherboard and if so what's the best GFX, Audio cards to use with it and any other bits and bobs that could be used with it.

I'm not very clued up on the abilities of the Mediator but my main reasons for using one would be for full colour GFX, 16 Bit Audio (playback & recording), also not sure how compatible it is software wise.

I would be hoping to use it with my Blizzard060/PPC 603 @ 60/240Mhz, anyone able to offer any advice on this...

Thanks for all the advice and comments. Trouble is, now I have to decide what to do. Spend a small fortune on building a Mediator set up just to get some use out of my BPPC card, wait for the X1000 to appear and see if that lives up to my dreams or wait & pray that the Natami ever sees the light of day...

I reckon the Natami would be the best way to go as if it lives up to it's hype then this looks like the best option for someone like me who enjoys the Classic Hardware side of the Amiga more than anything...

Decisions, decisions... A new PC or Mac is a no,no. but my moneys burning a hole in my pocket and I haven't bought anything new for at least a month so unless there is some news on the X1000 or the Natami in the next couple of weeks, it looks like I'll be going the mediator route...

The biggest "How did I ever live without them" upgrades I had were, in rough chronological order:

Hard disk
Accelerator card
RTG card
Network card

Your forgot the most basic one...
