If you had to choose one new piece of software that you would like to see written for the Amiga what type would it be... :)

1. New Games
2. New Web Browser
3. New Art/GFX Package
4. New USB Drivers
5. New Printer Drivers
6. New Audio Utilities
7. New Video Utilities
8. New FileSytem For HD/CD/DVD
9. Other
10. Something That's Never Been Done Before !!!

All the above :D

I agree... :)

Just thought I'd see what folk would really want the most, as I haven't written anything for a long while and thought I'd see what folk are really looking for... :)

Does anyone know if any of the current 68k Amiga browsers are open source. I fancy having a go at either improving or writing one myself... :)

AWeb is open source, I think http://www.greyhound-data.com/gunnar/aweb/ is as close as you get to the sources currently, as http://aweb.sunsite.dk/ no longer has it.  http://www.xs4all.nl/~yrozijn/aweb/index.html appearantly has sources.

Thanks for that Kolla, I've just downloaded them and will check them out later... :)

@ kolla
Unfortunately the using the links you provided only resulted in the actual programs themselves being downloaded and not the source code, thanks anyway, I'll just need to scour the net and see if I can find them somewhere else. :)

@ Gulliver
I tried the link you provided thank you, but all I got on my browser screen was a load of ascii, it looks like the actual data contents of the rar file, but for some reason I can't download it. any ideas... :)

@Franko

Try right-clicking the link and using the "Save Target As..." or similar option.

Thanks for that tip, it worked... :)

Unfortunately the source code is in C(rap)... :(

I don't like C code, far too bloated and messy stuff and the compiled results are just as bad... :(

Now that I know AWeb's open source I'll just have to disassemble it with ReSource and work with the proper A68k code. If nothing else I should be able to optimize it a bit as it was originally written in C (yuk)... :)
