I tried it a number of years ago and had the same problems your getting, also got corrupt GFX and mysterious locks up with it. I gave up on it and now use things like Birdie, Fblit, FullPalette and the likes to give a better and faster workbench.

I can only say my experience with WB2000 ended up with me deleting it forever.

Although I reckon someone else will come along and prove me wrong and help you sort out the probs your having... :)
