Now I'm listening to old Blue Eyes and completely chilled... :afro:

Ms Annie Lennox at her best.

Scotlands finest I reckon eh Franko? :D

Gotta agree with you on that, her original band "The Tourists" and this song was one the very first singles I ever bought way back in 79... :)

Only ever met her once outside the STV studios in Leith Walk in Edinburgh when I got her to sign my new tape of Wacky Waiters for the Vic 20 that I'd just purchased from across the road at the wee computer shop that used to be there... :)

I was so awestruck and mesmerised by her that I never uttered a word just held out the cassette box and she opened it and signed the inside cover... :)

@ Xdelusion

When most people today, especially the type who watch reality shows think z-list "celebs" are the voice of reason and their hero's.

I automatically when they try to put someone down come to the conclusion that the very person they are trying to put down must be actually quite a reasonable and decent human being and these numpties without the ability to think for themselves are therefore wrong and best just ignored or made to look the fools that they are... :)

Always turns out to be true in the end, most people today have lost the ability to think for themselves or question things and instead take the easy way out of hero worship of "celebs" who are in most cases dimmer than themselves... :)

I like to post one's with subtitles/lyrics when possible so deaf folk like Cammy can at least get an idea of what they are about... :)

Ah ok, but then he/she misses the 80's vibe!

Ahh not so... :)

I learned may years ago while working on a building site something very interesting and clever about deaf people... ;)

There was a young guy called Gary who was deaf but at teatime and lunchtime in the site hut he would always tap his fingers in time to the beat of any music that was on the radio. Now this puzzled many of us for months until one day curiosity got the better of me and I wrote a note and passed it to him asking how he was able to do this...

He passed a note back asking if I had noticed that he always sat with his back against the wall or one hand placed flat on the table, I replied no I hadn't noticed, he then wrote another note that explained it all... :)

If he sat with his back against the wall or his hand placed firmly on the table he was able to feel the bass vibrations of the music through the wall or on the table and so could pick up the beat of the music and if someone was singing along to it he could pick up some words by lip reading... :)

You know it never occurred to anyone of us on that site to think that but I've always remembered it to this very day and since that time came across several other deaf people whom have told me the same... :)
