I'll bite the bullet and get one, so +1 for me!
The only concern for me is the custom PALS/GALS, if kipper or someone else can provide those as a kit that would be awesome.
I don't mind paying extra for hard to find parts or kits, for example surface mount caps and resistors.

I have bunch of spare custom chips and 1 dead A500 and one dead A2000, so I should be covered!

Is it possible to change the CPU/FPU sockets from PGA to PLCC?
the PLCC versions of the CPU/FPU are alot cheaper and easier to source.
I got Freescale 68882 40Mhz from China for about $10 shipped.

Edit: Maybe just the FPU, because I cant see any PLCC CPUs, some surface mount.
