AROS on laptop *OR* MorphOS on MacBook ?

I wouldn't worry about the Atom CPU, it's got enough power for AROS. Here's another option for you to consider:

I personally wouldn't waste my money on a laptop without 3d support.

Sorry to seem harsh, however I think I have to translate in simplier words espskog's question:

"can you tell me the exact vendor and model of any AROS-supported notebook? I wish it had 1) wi fi and 2) 3D acceleration working, in this order of importance".

So now, if someone knows such brand and model, please tell him what to buy. Unluckily I am not able to do so, since the only portable computers I have supported by AROS are a Compaq Presario N610c and an Acer (not asus) Aspire One netbook A150, both without 3D acceleration. And only the netbook has wi-fi.
