Either I get a black screen after which absolutely nothing happens (this is on my laptop) or I get a white screen saying "No bootable media found,". What's going on?:confused:

Sounds like you have a sata drive.   check your bios and make sure your sata ports are in legacy/ide mode.

Hi,

@JJ,

No not really, I just tried icaros on all 7 of my pc's and couldn't get the internet section to work on all several. I could get icaros to boot up on three, but all of them were 6 years old or older. My four newer machines with all modern day cpu's and graphics cards gave me a black screen. Such is life, icaros is sort of like linux was, you had to wait two or three years for your hardware to be utilized by the programmers.
Here is my opinion on everything.

1. Amiga -- all types, very interesting computer, still amazes me at it's age.
2. icaros -- keep trying and keep failing, either my hardware is to new, or I am just an idiot.
3. Linux -- use it now for all my important stuff like music, data etc. wish the big game producers would make games for it so I could flip windows.
4. Windows (all types) an os from hello. Wouldn't be on my computer, but since they bought out all game producers, have to use it since I am an avid gamer.
5. OS4.0 once again I have two copies of which neither I could get working on my ppc amiga 1200. I probably am an idiot.
6. Apple -- wouldn't touch one with a ten foot pole. Wouldn't take one even if it was given to me.
7. Bored -- nah too much to play with and try out in todays computin world.

well JJ should of put you sound to sleep by now.

Not sure what you're talking about my Aros box is always under a year old if not brand new.
