This is worst place to post any comments about Amiga OS4 or anything related. You put your self to risk to get personally insulted, without any limitatios from moderators.

I usually wrote only classic related things here.

X1000 is nice, but why not get Sam they are availlable. Even Sam 440ep Flex is nice machine, not so powerless than those who haven't ever used one said. I watch my favorite TV series with it without any problems

I bought Flex because it has a best software support of those products wich are currently availlable. I might buy 460 when they get 3D support out, or not. I'm very happy with my Flex.

Those usual suspect are them those, who say that they have some other hobby OS, wich don't seems to interest them actually, because they write only OS4 threads Those people who haven't loved when they were kids, because they like to spoil other people joy, now when they are adults? Those people who like to hinting that Amiga hardware buyers are stupid, or at least duped? They of course know better than actual owners, how powerless and poor aCube/A-Eon computers are? And want to tell that 100x untill you admit that you are stupid and duped??? So you mean those people? They are quieter now?

I really curios to se how it works. Most important thing would be that I can download stuff with my 68k amigas again. Netsurf is really fast with my Flex, so I would wait it to be useable with 060, maybe even 040

I've had a Samflex@800 before getting my X1000 and can tell you that my old Samflex struggled while running more intense AGA games or rendering scenes in either Blender or Lightwave so if you want to go for a Sam I'd get the Sam460 /AmigaOne 500 as many users have noted a significant speed increase over the Samflex models.

I haven't test 68k programs much, just some system friendly apps and games. Whit those I have tested petunia is surpricinly fast. So EUEA is almost completely untested by me, some Defender of the crown playing and thats it.

I like to watch some TV-series with it, they are usual avi stuff and not HD, so Sam plays them easily. Net surfing is pleasent experiense, with any browser, even Timberwolf wich biggest flaw is slow startup. All this actually came to me as a surprice, I waited situation be quite much worse. Because there is been much talk how powerless and poor machine 440ep is

OS4 is hobby OS, so no Far Cry 3 or Crysis 3. Games are open source ports or SDL. Word prosessing is oK, I don't know spreadsheet or databsing. I belive it can't run video toaster, but rendering is possibl with blender and old 68k render programs, like lightwave, Real 3D etc.

AmigaOne x1000 and Sam 460 has a problem, there is no currently fully supportd graphics card for them PCIe, wich means no 3d support, no overlay support, so you can watc DVDs but ther are limitations. Digital music is ok, there is tunet for internet radios etc. and several ways to listen mp3s

Basic tasks like internet browsin, etc works very well

Currently best support is for Radeon 9XXX cards, like Radeon 9250

It is possible to install linux to AmigaOne and run it with Amiga OS4
