Videoediting with an AmigaOne

I have a miniDV camcorder and I want to edit video with my future
AmigaOne.

I think there are 2 options: use MOL and all the native MAC utilities
or compile all those Linux aplications ( Kino, Cinelerra ) in PPC.

Do you agree?

The latest Linux Kernel supports FirerWire and PCI cards are very
cheap now!
