I don't see how it helps the Amiga to be attending launches of competitor's products. It would surely be better to stay away from such launches rather than swelling the numbers of Apple fanboys.

It's also not practical to play Amiga games on such a device. For one thing, they have an anti-emulation stance, for another they have no gamepad/joystick, and thirdly any Amiga developer wanting to port to such a device (even as freeware) has to pay Apple on a regular basis to do so. No thanks.

Bluetooth gamepads/joysticks are supported for some games. I do agree with you that a touchscreen is a bad input device for many games.

I saw a gamepad for an iPhone in a shop a few months ago, it was over $100. I could get a smartphone, or a proper portable games console, for less than that.

I did not stand in this line to get the new iPhone. We interviewed the crowd then left to get breakfast and didn't come back.

But the journalists/marketers counting the people who were in the line, and reporting the resultant number in the media, would not have known that.
