It's common knowledge that NTSC is rubbish so I won't comment further on that subject...
How do we know that the Putty Squad screenshots in the magazines were actually from the full Amiga version, rather than, eg. the SNES version? It has been known in the past for Amiga magazines to use IBM-PC screenshots and suchlike on occasion. So I would be somewhat dubious about it, I'm not really sure whether it was ever finished or not, for the two reasons of (a) surely it would have been more profitable to release it than to cancel after already completing the writing of the game, even now, let alone back then, and (b) surely a copy would have leaked out by now.
