I thought the same when I got my first HDD-equipped Amiga, but any computer will make that "click" sound, even after it's been "shutdown" - it's not a problem.
IIRC
really old drives did need "parking" to an area where the head wouldn't damage the platter when it crashed down - I can only assume that was before the Amiga? :-?
