The floppy and hd are running off the same light on the tower..When a disk is in the drive it lights up,when the hd boots or loads whatever there is no light. It was fine until yesterday?

Well i checked the normal 1200 lights and they never worked. So i guess its something to do with the motherboard then?
Thing is this will be the 2nd board if so,well i have onw more board which has reset trouble?
I will try that and see if the lights come on with that just to be sure.I will be back, cheers for all the help.
