There is a prediction about "Proactive Computing".
Is this possible or just a wishful thinking?
Instead of waiting for us to feed them information, computers are anticipating our needs and taking action on our behalf.
Welcome to the world of proactive computing. A world where billions of sensors are embedded within our environment, capturing data to churn out answers even before questions are asked.
You've just given me a very scary thought.
If the computers are smart enough to answer questions before we ask them, maybe then they can go on and figure out what the human does with the results. If it can do this the human is of no use anymore and can be replaced by a computer.
"Before proactive computing, you have people whose jobs were to carry a computer around and take readings," said Dr Tennenhouse.
"With proactive computing, they are free to do something else. Human beings should not be spending time just carrying computers around."
If you don't need the human the computer can can carry itself around, they could put themselves in a metal box and add some tools to do stuff.
Of course this puts everyone out of work and humans will get pissed off and fight back.
So the computers add weapons, when they find a human they could remove them. Of course they could inform the other computers of this by passing an audio message:
EXTERMINATE, EXTERMINATE!
