I don't know, PC originally meant Personal Computer, that is a one computer for one person.
However PCs generally mean x86 architecture machines these days.
Originally there was the IBM-PC
Then there were IBM Clone PCs
Then IBM Compatible PCs
Then just PCs.
Funny thing is The Mac as always technically been a PC but these days with IBM selling off their PC division and macs using G5s you could say a PowerMac is an IBM compatible PC!
I would just say PC,
x86 is equally valid since all the derivations started from the original x86.
