I was never a big gamer but my friends were and they used to come down to my house to play my machine (I lived right in the centre of town) to play everything.
Settlers was good, one of the few games I ever really played. I remember sitting down after tea to play then looking up and 6 hours had gone by...
Dune 2 another, and syndicate but I never played it that much.
The one game we all played for seemingly ever was called Walords, the graphics were crap, the sound so bad we switched it off but the gameplay for multiplayer was fantastic, we had many evenings of Warlords, Budweiser* and my strange musical taste (UB40, Alannah Myles, Meatloaf, Pink Floyd, Duran Duran etc.).
*Budweiser, I was young and foolish!
