Well Imagine my surprise. Quarterback.
« on: April 15, 2011, 03:33:18 AM »
I just recently resurrected my good old A2000. Out of the collection of 200 hundred or so disks I found that only a few are unreadable or have errors on them. Not bad for 17 years.

HOWEVER I have at least 5 sets of backups made with Quarterback backup software. Of the disks that were made in each and every backup set Quarterback can read NONE of them. Yet if I put the disk in an icon shows up on the workbench entitled QBXX where XX is the sequence number in the set. Since Quarterback used it's own proprietary format I am royally screwed.
The really strange part is is that I used Quarterback without any problems years ago to restore a hard drive when I had one die on me.

I wonder if maybe the floppy has a very small misalignment problem.
