There may be copyright issues. I'll bet that some authors were fine having their stuff on those cover disks, but weren't giving permission for unbridled distribution.

I have a bunch of PD software disks that I don't want to throw out unless I knew the stuff was already archived somewhere. If someone comes up with a cover disk archive project, then howsabout a PD disk archive side-project, too.  :idea:
