Seems to me Ben Fuller was involved in a disk copier even before Project D, with a muscial sound byte: "Hey Hey, take it away, a pirate's life for me..." Either way, we are talking an early Amiga developer, and Project D was a good product with good sales.
For a while, years ago, he posted to the Studio 16 mail list, after the product was discontinued. It was a leader of that time, on any platform - partly because of cost, and partly because of quality and suitability for audio-for-video.
