Years of battles in comp.sys.amiga.advocacy prove arguments from the tinkerers and techies won't convince the *market* that the Amiga is worth the silicon its built on!

Usenet != the word.  That's not the point.

You used it as the sole foundation of your original argument.  "OMG TEHY ARGUE IN CSAA" was the crux of your point, IIRC.

To quote one of the denizens of that august body:

"Backpedal."

Oh, and someone else has already mentioned but for you to feign SHOCK I say SHOCK at your treatment here - to the point of VERILY LOSING YOUR MONOCLE IN YOUR BRANDY SNIFTER OLD BOY due to your SURPRISE - is utterly ridiculous.  First, everyone here is a hacker brat etc. ad infinitum.  Then, nobody has a right to get pissed off at you.

I, too, really enjoyed using an Amiga and I, too think that the bits and pieces people use to keep them "up to date" nowadays are way overpriced but y'know what sweetie?  I don't give a damn, it's someone else's hobby.  I watch (and occasionally post) 'round here and elsewhere out of interest for OS4 and the A1 and it's evolution.

You, babycakes, are walking the worn-to-the-stone path of OMG TROEL TEH AMEGA USORS - and it's about as funny as it was in, oh, say 1991.  The fact of the matter is that some guy in Scotland buying a PCI riser card for his A3000 doesn't rob you of either jack or {bleep}, but for some unknown reason you can't handle that.

I've got a new target for you, oh mighty T800.  Why don't you find an SGI newsgroup/message board and go tell them that their machines are out of date/stupid/useless and they're fools for hanging on to them and updating them?

What's the matter?  Lack a little backbone?  Go now!  The city is in peril!  Go, mighty Avenger, go!
