I had some luck but went back to emulated. Its cheaper, faster, and it just works. Still, the real thing is better...
Better is relative. Don't get me wrong, I still lust after the A3000 and would not pass the chance to buy one at a relatively cheap price; it's just that when/if I need to scratch the Amiga itch firing up WinUAE and cranking it up to some absurdly insane clock-speed to play Quake 1 or screw around with old 3d packages for ****s-and-grins is a lot easier than playing "will it boot today/won't it boot today" with nearly 30 year old hardware.
Oh don't misunderstand, again, love to have some just for the fun of it!
