A weird thing I saw on an atari ST once
« on: August 18, 2009, 05:06:07 AM »
Sorry for the (gasp) ST talk but this has been bugging me...

It was quite a while back (3-4 years, maybe more), and I'll be damned if I can find it again, but maybe somebody knows what I'm talking about.  It was an image of a hacked-in single PCI slot expansion connected via some ribbon cables that a guy had made and put a video card onto his ST with this connection.

I was looking at it as my brother-in-law (a huge ST nut for many years) had just purchased a whole stack of 'em for like $20 each and was looking at expanding them out somewhat (he ended up selling the lot for $50 - his initial purchase having hacked my sister off immeasurably!)

Ahem.

Anyway, does anyone know of what I speak?

(Edit: This was a factory ST - not a Medusa or Hades clone, but a grey, wedge desktop Atari-manufactured computer)
