Well GFX cards with a passthrough sell on eBay sometimes for sub $100. But that is not ideal. I'd say get a second hand A3000. It starts off with an 030, has the built in flicker fixer, can use a 16 color WB without screwing up the I/O ports and can be bought on eBay for ~$100.
