X_surf II IDE port

The X-Surf IDE port requires IDE-Fix software to work, and is a very basic IDE.

No you cannot boot from a CD hooked to an A4000 internal IDE.

i have a XSurf and I can tell you that you do not need IDE-Fix software to use it

You are probably confusing the X-Surf I with the X-Surf II. The X-Surf II IDE will not work unless you purchase IDE-Fix software. This is a fact.

you CAN boot from the Xsurf if you have an Algor with flashrom and put the driver in the flashrom
