On top of what Piru said, use your favorite system friendly Amiga software and enjoy the speed!

Thankx all, but first things first....

...only my Mac mouse works thus far, therefore only 1 button.

My 2 Button mouse detects, but only moves when booting into MorphOS off the CD.

It would not work during the install, nor has it worked since. Again it only works when booting into MorphOS from CD. Ironically if I boot MorphOS off CD, the Mac Mouse will detect but not work. So the problem reverses itself.

Try another mouse. I use a generic 2 button PC mouse with my eMac and it works fine, both buttons.

And on that note, I must state once again that it was VERY wise for the MorphOS team to seek support for inexpensive hardware, seeing as the OS is not cheap, this was a VERY practical move and I think one that will result in more sales down the road.

I have to agree. I thought my days using an Amiga related platform was done, over. I immersed myself into C= 8bit and wasn't looking back..... Until I heard it was running on eMac I could pick up for almost nothing, which I did. $40 later and I am playing around with the demo version of MorphOS 2.5. It may be a little bit before I can afford to register it, but I will. 2010 will be a thin year financially for many in the USA including me, as I'm sure many others in the EU and elsewhere can relate to.

What I don't get is why these installation scripts never acted up like this in OS 3.9.

Eeer, change 3.9 to 2.0 in that statement and I can agree. By the time 3.9 came around I very often would have problems with install scripts, even with commercial software.

You also have to remember MorphOS 2.5 is what, 11 years newer than OS3.9? And really OS3.9 is just a bunch of patches for OS3.1, which is about 16+ years old? In PC terms that would be like trying to run Windows 3.11 era software on Windows 7.
