AARRGGH!! Worst eBay seller EVER!!
« on: October 15, 2003, 01:02:11 AM »
 :-x
I bought this. The packaging was absolutely terrible. The boards are taped together with packing tape and put in a box loose :-x

Needless to say they arrived very heavily damaged on top of the fact they are not in the "excelent condition" as described in the auction.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!

I am going to file a dispute with ebay against this guy, what a jerk :-x

The package arrived today and I am bitterly disapointed.

1) The auction describes boards in excelent condition, these boards are incomplete and obviously have been worked on heavily. They are in very poor condition even before being shipped.
2) You taped these boards together losely with packing tape and placed losely in a box. They arrived very heavily damaged. Most of the motherboard pins are bent, capacitors are broken off etc.

I'm sorry, but you obviously do not know how to handle delicate electronic equipment and knowingly mistated the condition. Your auction description is entirely innacurate, therefore I demand a full refund including my shipping costs.

I look foward to your response.

Regards,
Jim Farley

1) The boards do NOT look to be in very good condition. Even prior to the extreme shipping damage the are dirty, missing a lot of chips and obviously have been worked on. No one could possibly mistake these for being in good condition.

2) You did not ship these in a safe manner, electronic boards are very sensitive and must be handled properly. You shipped these so poorly they look as if they have been run over by a car.

3) You are now threatening negative feedback which is a yet another violation of eBay's TOS on top of your gross misrepresentation.

I do not take kindly to threats, I'm afraid you have picked the wrong person to rip off. I have filed a fraud complaint with eBay. You have violated several of eBay's TOS and proven yourself to be a rogue seller. I will wait until I receive eBay's reply to the fraud complaint until I decide whether to take legal action against you or not.

I dont have time to loose with you for that type of money.
DID YOU CHECK how much you pay for shipping !!!!!!

You think people will accept to ship stuff and give back money because YOU
expect to have BRAND NEW stuff in the box.

Good Luck with YOUR LEGAL ACTION

Fraud is fraud whether it's $1 or $1,000,000. The cost is certainly not going to hurt me, but it looks like this guy has scammed quite a few people. Most buyers are too scared to say anything and will take the loss. I don't take being scammed very well. BTW with shipping it was over $5 a board. If it would have been shipped properly I wouldn't have been so upset. But when you open the box and pieces just start falling out... :-x

Eh, maybe I'm going overboard.

Poll: Who thinks I should smack this guy around and who thinks I should be happy since it was cheap?

I agree that you shouldn't buy from this guy, but this is hardly misrepresentation.

Yes it is. Many people here seem to have either misunderstood me or didn't read his description. The auction stated "excelent condition". I wasn't expecting new boards or even boards that would be repaired. All I was expecting was that was in fair condition that I could salvage some chips off. These boards even before shipping damage are not in even fair condition. Chips are missing, other chips are damaged/solder to, yet other chips are covered with apoxy. Overall the boards look like hell, dirty etc.

@mikeymike,

What about the anti static bag?! And no, i don't go to the post office that much! :-(

Packing supply stores, I mean big ones not small mom and pop shops. They are cheap, I pay ~$4 per 100.

You keep the anti-static bags from previous purchases!

Or heck, I buy them for ~$4 per 100, I can resell them to someone for $6 per hundred and turn a profit ;-)

No , no and no! :-o

His pictures do NOT show the condition of the boards, you can't see the surface of the boards! You only see the bottom and side.

His feedback is actually very bad at ~96% positive with many people posting neutral or positive with their comment saying something negative as a warning. After scanning through i see a trend. Someone posts a neutral with a warning and this jerk gives THEM a negative. If he gets paid in a timely manner he has no right as a seller to give someone a negative.

Besides most buyers are too scared to post a negative or neutral through fear of retailiation, which this guy threatens with often!
