Does any one know if you can use Amiga Unix on any A3000? Or does the A3000UX have special hardware?
Well it has the spiffy letters UX next to the A3000 on the case, if you consider that custom hardware ;-) But seriously IIRC the unix for Amiga was very sh'tty, you'd be better off using a modern Linux68k.
