Interesting, I wonder where this is going...
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

I just find this whole thing bizzare. Obviously Carl had respect for Amiga when he released the early Rebol for it, considering the Amiga was quite dead by that point even.

Where is he going with this :-?

Hi Redrumloa  :-)

Yes, I verified him against Rebol Feedback, and it is indeed Mr. Carl Sassenrath.

this isn't some "used car salesman" trying to sell us something. He's just discussing ideas. Considering his accomplishments, he is more than welcome.

Not trying to suggest otherwise, I have nothing but respect for him. I'm just hopeful he WILL get involved in some capacity to clean up this mess that has become the Amiga.

As he pointed out during the AmiWest banquet, he invented the term "multitasking".

Uh, I'm not trying to downplay him or anything, but surely he didn't claim that, since it's not true. Multitasking operating systems existed tens of years before amigaos. He did introduce pre-emptive multitasking to "home computers" though.

Here's Carl interview from 2003.

I don't think he said he invented the term, I don't remember hearng that. What he said was that basically nobody had heard of the term before the Amiga, and nowadays it's part of common everyday language even outside computing.
