Yup my friend with the dirty rodent as an avatar is correct;-) It is fairly common in S FL. Bandits will cover the real ATM card slot with their own. The unsuspecting victim will slide their card in and enter their pin. Either the card is kept or the strip is scanned. The pin is usually recorded by either a false pin pad or a spy camera. Same sort of thing is done at gas pumps too.
I won't use anything that looks even remotely suspicious, but most people go through life in such a haze that they are easy prey :-(
