For painting, the best programs are TvPaint (see above for link) for 24Bit, and deluxepaint for 8Bit color imho.. For effects and image manipulating etc the best program is ImageFX(

Those sound great , and in addition i wonder if TVPaint will work .
It works fine under picasso96, so running it with uae should be no problem.. why dont you try it out, its free and you can download it
