Amiga Forever OS floppy image question
« on: March 03, 2012, 03:40:19 PM »
Hello,

I think I know the answer to this question, but I wanted to confirm with some of my fellow Amigans before I bought the latest version of Amiga Forever.   My understanding is that the Plus version or above comes with complete ADF disk image sets for all of the operating systems through 3.9 and therefore, you can write those to floppy disk and use them to reinstall operating systems on hardware Amigas.  Is that correct?

I have an Amiga 3000 that came loaded with Workbench 3.1 but it did not come with floppy disks and I'd like to have a floppy set to do a reload or have as backups in the event of a crash.

Thanks
Amiga 2000 | GVP 68030 w/ 8 MB RAM | A2091 w/ 52 MB hard drive | Dual floppy drives

Amiga 3000 | 68030 @ 25 Mhz | 18 MB RAM | 3.2 GB SCSI hard drive

Vic 20 w/C2N datassette (trying to find it!)
C-64 w/ 1541 drive
C-128 w/ 1571 drive

Cool, thanks guys.  3.1 was the one I was most concerned with anyway, so it sounds like I should go ahead and buy it.

It's a good buy, and you get all the kickstarts aswell.

But if you can get your hands of an Amiga OS 3.5 CD cheap on Ebay, then you have the Amiga OS 3.1 install disks on that one aswell.

Unfortunately, I forgot to check and lost an auction on the 3.5 CD the other day.  But knowing the 3.1 install disk images are on that CD may make me rethink buying Amiga Forever and look for 3.5 instead.
