I plugged my Amiga 3000 (with the scan doubler disabled) into my Acer LCD monitor (20', $100) and it worked just fine. Since a lot of new LCD monitors were probably specced in the factory to do double duty as monitors or TVs, many may work. Mine works fine with HiRes and others, it just doesn't like PAL modes.
