That oscillator only has two legs and is bent to save space, so it is normal that it feels a bit loose.
When I turn it on, the power light comes on and so does caps lock..
Does it blink or just stay on forever? If it stays on, it could indicate a problem with the keyboard.
Why not try using that ROM from your A500?
