A2000 Supra ram card question
« on: June 10, 2004, 12:21:19 AM »
I got a Supra ram card for my A2000.
I have a problem.... the card has a test mode
and a ram? mode. (the jumper is T for test or R for Ram).
The card has 6 megs installed, there is 2 megs installed
on the 2630 accellerator, for a total of 8 megs.
The card tests OK in test mode but with the jumper set
for Ram mode the machine boots up them the power light
starts blinking and Guru. I don't think its the power
supply as it runs in test mode fine.
Is there a jumper on the MoBo that I'm unaware of or
anything like that??
I D/L'ed the docs and install disk from Amiga Hardware Data
but there really isn't any install prg.
Is there a lib I need to copy over or what??
I have 3.1 roms in the machine.
Also how do I make the DKB MultiStart rom switcher work ??
I had one in my A1000 several years ago, but I've forgotten
how to make it work (this A2000 has a switcher in it).

I'll try that..........

The machine does boot and run from floppy
but not from the harddrive.

This machine has a 2091 HardCard and a 2630 accellerator.
The accellerator is an 030 @ 25mhz. I have to do somemore
checking but I think the problem is with the roms on the
accellerator. I have an older version of the roms and I'm
sure I read that they had a problem.
The machine boots from Harddrive and reconizes the ram if
I pull the accellerator. I think I'm going to have to find
the newer roms IF they are available.

No, there's no ram on the 2091 SCSI card but
there is 2 megs on the 2630 accellerator.
