I don't think this is a mindless answer....
For me I know my A3k will eventually die and
as I see it Aros will pickup where the classic
Amiga left off. Face it, its the Amiga OS that
everyone likes. The hardware is just a machine
to run it on. As I see it, Aros is taking the general
direction that we all more or less want.
I would have to say that is the real goal.
