Hmmm... I would assume that the internal harddrives
are on the Warp SCSI (much faster than the A3000 SCSI).
Try changing the info in the HDTools icon to show
'device=warpdrive.device'.

Your setup is simular to my A3k ...
I have mine setup with the WarpDrive SCSI running
the internal drive and the A3k SCSI running the
external 9 gig drive and CD Rom.
I didn't remove the terminator pack from the MoBo
and it works fine.
The Quantum 40s is a 40 meg drive (not worth much)
and should work with just about any setup.
Basicly all you really need to do is terminate the
last drive on ribbon cable. On my machine the only
jumpers I usually have to set are 'AutoStart' and
"termination'. If the Quantum drive is a good drive
then it should work on either the WE SCSI or A3k SCSI.
Don't worry about SCSI address, with no SCSI address
jumpers set it will be set to SCSI address zero which
is good. IIRC both WE SCSI and A3k SCSI use address
number seven (7) as their device number so any address
other than seven (7) for the drives is fine.
If you are sure the Quantum is a good drive, I would
use it for testing.
I don't know what the SeaGate drive is. Its been my
experience that Seagates are a little more fussy than
Quantun.
If you think I can help... EMail me.
