Over-Clocking .. again

A question about over-clocking........

I have a C=2630 @25mhz A2000 accellerator.
It has the MC68030RC'25' chip in it.
I have an MC68030RC'50' chip.
If I install the 50mhz chip and install a 50mhz
crystel is it still considered 'Over-Clocking' ??
Will it be stable??
Seems to me it should work.

The big question here is will the components of the accelerator besides the CPU and FPU like to run @ 50Mhz?

I'm sure I did read someplace that this card (C=2630)
didn't like being over-clocked more than up to 28mhz.
(but that was probably with the 25mhz chip)

Also .. whats the difference between an 'XC' 68030RC25
and an 'MC'68030RC25 ??
Is 1 a 5v and the other a 3.3v chip ??

Most of the production you'll see is in the XC range. These chips are functionally fine, but are not the final versions and may contain errors (see erata files on Motorola's website for details with workarounds). Once Motorola is sure they've squashed all the bugs they'll move the chip to MC status. For instance, on the 040 and 060 this took 5-6 years.

Then I can replace an 'XC' chip with an 'MC' chip and
should work okay ??
