I bet Vincent knows what I mean ;-)

 I sure do!

At least it wasn't something loud like Industro Garage Beats or Corn Mouth ;-)

I'd bet you'd be even more glad it wasn't Pac-Man!! :-D

Trust me. If code were ever translated into music, it would be something by Aphex Twin...

Funny you should say that.....

IIRC, his first experimentation with music was apparently turning the sound right up on the tv when he had the Speccy on and listened to the changes in frequency when the screen changed

Regarding the speccy, it goes back even earlier than that. He claimed he was able to achieve a similar effect messing about on the zx81 :-D

Damn, that's right enough.  My memory fails me yet again :-P

Btw, I thought the same way about Drukqs.  I actually got my CDs from my uncle who didn't like it.  He liked the tunes on it, but not the way they were put on.  He really didn't like the pure acid trance stuff sitting next to the mellow piano stuff.

But what do I care, I got it for absolutely nowt :-D

I've yet to hear an Aphex Twin/AFX/Gak/Polygon Window/Caustic Window/Power-Pill song I don't like :-D

Although there's one track, "At The Heart of it All", that was a joint remix/creation between Trent Reznor and Aphex Twin that's a bit naff.

Thinking about it, I'm pretty sure that single was the first thing I ever bought by him.  Not exactly the best place to start really :-D

Nope, it's just that that "background" squeal doesn't bother me at all.

But then again, I've probably heard it thousands of times since it came out as a single :-D

I'd say Agadoo is worse than Barbie Girl.

Agadoo still gets played at parties even though it's utter tripe.
