A1200 motherboard conflicts - help everyone
« on: March 07, 2003, 03:44:13 PM »
I'm starting this thread to ask people here to post any conflicts with A1200 motherboards and accelerator cards.  (I'm taking the suggestion from PulsatingQuasar here)

Could you write as much info as possible about the problem and how to fix it.

The replies I get here will be turned into a text document first, and then an AmigaGuide document - normally I would prefer to just write the AmigaGuide one, but my Miggy's not running yet :-( .

If someone else is doing a guide about this, tell me and we could pool resources for it.

It'll take a while to get this done, so don't expect it on Aminet or other sites for a while.  Once it's done, I'll post about putting it on all A.org members websites aswell, so that more people will have a chance to get it.

Anything that was posted in the other thread about this (A1200 Rev 1D4 accelerator) please post here aswell, that makes it easier to check everyday.

Everyone who posts here will get a mention in the thanks list (including A.org itself).  If you could supply pictures of necessary things (ie. of the fixes) I'll incorporate them with the file itself.

Cheers guys :-D

Just remembered something.

Could you write as much info about the card (CPU/FPU/MMU/Simm sockets/SCSI/anything else that I've forgotten) and your motherboard (board revision/budgie version/anything else that's important).

I was going to ask this after getting the accelerators written up, but I might aswell ask now.

Could you also write what other hardware you have (even if it doesn't conflict) with all the necessary technical info aswell.

Even if I don't get any info about how to fix the problems, it's still worth doing.

Please help the community :-D

Ok, I've got a lot of replies for this ;-)

Even if you don't have any problems, could you still write about your setup, that way, I'll know what works with what revision.

I was just going to write what conflicts happen with what, but a better idea could be to write that aswell as what works with what.  That'd be more in depth and a lot better for the user.

ANY help will be appreciated on this.

Please answer :-D

Cheers mate, that does actually help. :-D

Now I can write in the guide that they all work together ok, with a possible very minor problem.

Somebody else got anything to help?

Even if you have NO problems, write your setup here, please. :-D
