040's generally run hot. I think they're the hottest of the 680x0 sreies. A good cooling fan system should work fine.
The BVision generally doesn't need cooling and the BPPC comes with a fan on one side to cool the ppc chip and a cooler on the other, but there's nothing over the 040, so a fan to cool that and maybe a bigger fan for the ppc itself would be a good idea.
