MUI4.0 for AOS4 and MUI3.9 for AOS3 Updated
« on: October 31, 2014, 01:03:44 PM »
news from the MUI development team:

Quote
New releases of MUI 4.0 for AmigaOS4/PPC and MUI 3.9 AmigaOS3/m68k have  been made available for download on the MUI for AmigaOS development  site.

The MUI 3.9 release for AmigaOS3/m68k is no longer a beta  release, because no severe bugs have been reported since the 2014R2  release.
you can download the releases as of this morning:

MUI 4.0 2014R5 release for AOS4 (PPC)
MUI 3.9 2014R3 release for AOS3 (68K)

I'm assuming we'll be getting the OS4.1 update via AmiUpdate soon ?
dunno; they usually update their amiupdate entry soon after the release on their website, but honestly i'm more interested in the release for 68K machines. the initial release earlier this year was rather buggy and folks even had basic installation issues. i hope that's been ironed out.

@klx300r

looks like the MUI updates just hit amiupdate for AOS4 users a little while ago. you should see it now.

Sounds like he has scammed you, he could use an emulator if his Amiga is broken.
nah, nothing like that. stefan's key generator was on his classic amiga, and it bit the dust some time ago. that's all. so he's sending out generic keys these days instead. and the long wait on email replies is due to the fact that he's just not as involved as he once was; he's typically traveling as he's an avid cyclist.

I suggest using ReAction instead, it's better anyway and doesn't need any payments to con artists.
careful now. them's fightin' words 'round here! :lol:

My understanding is: he seemed pretty quick to take the money, but didn't send the poster any key, generic or not. That's fraud, pure and simple.
the 'taking' of the money is automatic. when he gets back from his trips, he then forwards keys to folks. the issue is also that the key generator is effectively lost at this point. i agree stefan should post something saying that people should expect to wait a while before getting their keys, or at least lower the price, or... anything, really.

i should also point out that stefan is no longer involved in MUI development, even though he receives funds for keys. the current development team are awesome guys, so, let's be careful about throwing around the 'fraud' term. i wouldn't want people to get the wrong idea. that said... yeah, the situation is unfortunate.

@Jeff

i do hope you get your key soon! :)
